The “Towards sustainable and eco-responsible mobility” training aims at equiping mobility referents with exploratory, experiential and reflective activities that they can carry out with their learners before going abroad (Erasmus + and others). The objective is to raise their awareness on their power of action on the carbon footprint and more generally on the environment.

  • Summarizing the Reduce-Reuse-Recycle approach
  • Identifying and naming innovative initiatives on a European scale
  • Calculating a footprint during a trip and during a mobility abroad
  • Selecting alternatives to reduce the footprint
  • Highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of each alternative
  • Committing to some of the best practices

Program

This course is composed of 3 units

Unit 1 - Towards an eco-responsible global citizenship

  • The main Sustainable Development Goals and the “European Green Deal”
  • The Reduce-Reuse-Recycle approach
  • Examples of good practices on a European scale to apply during mobilities
  • Examples of inspiring practices during a mobility

Unit 2 - Green travel

2 hours in a group in person | self-assessment

  • The carbon footprint depending on transport means
  • Reducing the carbon footprint associated with travel
  • The strengths and weaknesses of existing alternatives

Unit 3 - Making informed choices during mobility

3:00 in a group in person | self-assessment

  • Practical case study: new environment and new practices
  • Establishing indicators to measure our impact on a daily basis
  • Engaging in green practices during mobility
